Cost estimating oversight for commercial electrical construction projects up to $10M in accordance with company estimating guidelines and related industry standards.
Manage and administer department functions including operating budgets, staffing, wage reviews, work assignments, performance evaluations, etc.
Assist corporate and project management to determine what types of projects to bid, strategies, techniques, etc.
Review all final estimate packages to insure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
Participate in presentations to corporate management and Clients. May be responsible for closing the “sale”.
Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
Assist in preparation of studies, materials and methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as required.
4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience; advanced management or technical training preferred.
10 or more years’ experience in similar electrical construction estimating and related functions plus thorough knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.
Proficient computer skills (EXCEL) and knowledge/experience utilizing construction estimating software.
Excellent organizational, supervisory and decision making/problem solving skills.
Efficient communication (oral/written) and presentation skills.
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
